Actually I see this slight price increase as a positive thing.DTV could of raised it even higher,yet did'nt.
Also,a price increase means more new HD channels are about to come out,just like what we saw back in September or so in 2008.We got a bunch of new HD channels all at the same time.It was like an early Christmas present.
I'm happy with this small price increase.I really am.
On the other hand with people losing their jobs left and right and the economy being in the tank..you would think Directv would be compassionate about this and you'd think they'd be smart.Plus if they lowered their price they would get a bunch of new customers or loyal customers who would'nt leave them. It makes no logical sense to raise prices when the economy is so bad.I guess Directv is taking the gamble anyway.

McDonalds for example has cheap prices and its stock has gone way up this year and they made over a billion dollar profit.They do great even in a bad economy because their prices are low and more people can afford to go to them.
