No, I haven't, because I don't know the technique of how it's done. However, a couple of years ago I viewed a film my buddy had downloaded and I wasn't impressed! I think he said it was " a screener" where a guy goes into a theater, with a camcorder, and makes a copy then sends it out over the Net.
The sound was muggy, you could also hear people in the audience coughing and talking in the background, the interior scenes were very dark, and halfway through the movie, a large woman got up to go to the lobby or toilet and blocked one of the only good scenes in the whole movie!
I subscribe to a cable movie channel (4 SD channels + 2 HD channels) and see most of the films I'm interested in and many of them are in Hi-Def. So, to me, it's not worth the effort in spoiling a good movie by seeing a free but a very crappy copy!
