If you already have a SD DVR in place, it shouldn't be any big deal to install it yourself. That's what I did. It was really just a matter of disconnecting the cables from the old DVR and connecting them to the new one. I didn't get the free DVR like you did, but I didn't think $99 was a bad deal.
