the most important thing about 1080P through component is not all tv's accept that signal over analog even though they have 1080P capability through HDMI.

and also as stated in the previous posts the games say 720P 1080i and 1080P most are truly in 720p, and depending on the size of your TV unless over 40-42" your eye can't really tell the difference between 720P and 1080P
