A question on stuck pixel(s)...
Hello Forum,
In case you havent noticed, this is my first post in this forum. As in all other forums, i have used the search option to answer my question, but to no avail. Thus, im asking here for answers/opinions:
I bought a Sony Bravia KDL-32L4000 (720p) 2 days ago from WalMart. Excited as i was, i got it home and set this baby up with no issues. Friend came over, we played some games, watched some tv and then he left. After he left, i noticed directv went into "stand by mode" i guess: where the directv logo is floating all over. Since this is a black screen i noticed a green pixel (or sub pixel, perhaps?) dead smack in the center of the tv. Now, my viewing distance is about 5-6 ft. and from that distance i cant see it, but as in other threads, it just bugs me to know its there. My question, or rather 3: Would you give back or exchange your tv if it had ONE, just ONE stuck pixel that you couldnt see? And, since it already has one, can i expect in the future to have many more, or am i just being paranoid? Also, do stuck/dead pixels appear or once its there, its there for good and no more will show up? For example, i have one as of now, so will that be it forever or is it possible for more to come up in the future?
I hope this is one of those issues where, for example, you drop your phone and you're like "dammit, now its all scratched," but then you get over it and not something thats going to haunt me later on.
Thanks for the responses, i suppose...
