I recently hooked up my new Vizio 47" LCD TV and am happy with everything so far. I would like to get a better picture from my DVD player which is now ancient by most standards (about 5 yrs. old). It has component hookups, which I used to connect to the TV, but I'm not thrilled with the picture. I also have an XBOX 360 I hooked up through the Component connection and the picture improved. I'm wondering if this is the best I can do, or if it's worth it to purchase a DVD Upconverter. Keep in mind, I'm not going to shell out the money for a Blu-Ray player or a top of the line upconverter. So which is best for picture quality XBox 360 or inexpensive DVD upconverter?
