At normal viewing distance with a 32'' I would say 1080p is not needed IMO. But since you plan on sitting only a couple feet away like a computer monitor when you game, 1080p would be a beniifit. Again, I think the Sharp Aquos for $749 is a much better deal and like the Sammy, a great 32'' TV. 1 other good point if you buy it a BB is take it home, hook up your 360 and give it a real work out with some fast action games like GOW2/CODWaW ect.. If you don't like it or think it is too laggy, take it back and give the Sammy or another model a go. I think you have 30 days from purchase and a 32'' would not be a biggie to box back up and return. My guess is that you will be quite pleased. That is the only true way to see for yourself.
