Help with picture on a Blue ray player
Guys i have a 42" LCD LG 1080p 60 hertz tv and a Samsung BD1500. I watched We Own The Night on it blue ray it was my whole screen no lines or anything great picture great movie. I watched 88minutes blue ray and Kung fu panda blue ray and it has the black lines on top and bottom of my screen. I adjusted my setting and nothing helped. The setting are set on 16:9 wide, 1080p, Move frame 24F on (what is this anyway). I changed the setting to 16:9 normal and with the movie frame off as well and the same thing happened. I did the firm update when i got the player last week. Is there a setting i am missing i do not see anything else i can change. Are the dvd set like this that it is not your full screen or is my tv too small? Any help would be great i really can't stand the lines on top and bottom reason i never bought widescreen movies when i had a regular tv. I noticed on the back of the dvd cases it has numbers which i donot understand like 16:9 1.88.5 stuff like that but We own the night and Kung Fu had the same numbers on the back of the disc and we own the night was full screen and kung fu panda had the lines on top and bottom.
