I snatched up the TH-50PE8U on Black Friday and felt pretty lucky...it was 1 of 20 available at the local BB. And, to be perfectly honest, I didn't research carefully enough, and thought I was buying the TH-50PX80U.
Now, I see that that the TH-50PE8U is available online at Best Buy for the same price...shipped to my door, no less. (Not feeling so lucky anymore.) And of course, I'm now discovering that it's not the set I thought I was getting...2 HDMI inputs instead of 3, lower contrast, etc.
And, I'm seeing that the TH-50PX80U is available at places like newegg for roughly the same $960 (after tax) I paid at the local BB for the stripped down version.
I haven't even picked it up from BB yet. So the choices are to:
1) Keep the Black Friday set
2) Return the Black Friday set and snatch up the TH-50PX80U online for the same price
3) Return the Black Friday set and hang out until prices drop again after Christmas/Super Bowl. I'm really in no rush.
4) Or? Suggestions?
