No, DVI on either end eliminates digital audio, however you will get analog stereo sound (max Prologic II) with the red and white RCAs. If you are using an AV receiver, run a single rca (digital coax) or an optical digital fiber optic cable, from STB to Receiver, that will yield DD5.1 sound when available, and give digital sound all the time. (If this is not new, then disregard please )
