Most Panny plasma's have a "game mode" which brightens up the screen a great deal. I tried playing Dead Space in THX mode and that didn't work so good. No blur, rich, deep colors on the Plasma and it looks fantastic in "game mode."
My parents also have a Xbox 360 hooked to their Samsung 46" LCD and it blurs BIG TIME. I have never tried hooking my XBox to my upstairs Sony and Panny LCD's....not sure if they blur or not.
My Plasma is in the basement 58" 800U so no glare...plus it has an anti-glare screen. Being the owner of two LCD's (40" and 32"...both less than three months old) and the owner of a 58" Plasma (less than a month old) in a home environment, there is no question the Plasma is the better picture. I've heard others say the same thing here, but I am personal witness to it. If you can control the light, go Plasma. Also, Plasma's reflect less than older Projection or CRT TV's so if you are coming from this, and not an LCD, you'll never notice any glare in the first place.
