As I mentioned earlier if you read the entire article and put the Sanders comment into perspective it actually makes sense. DVD sales are dropping (which is what the article is really about). The studios were expecting Blu-Ray (and other mediums) to make up the difference. That is why it is do or die from a studio's perspective. He is not saying that Blu-Ray will go away IMHO. His comment is respect to DVD declining. The studios need Blu-Ray and other mediums to pick up the slack or they will see declines in both revenue and profit. The problem is that with the current economy DVD sales may drop faster than expected and Blu-Ray sales may not grow as fast as expected. Blu-Ray is not going anywhere.
