So you tried your 360 on your friends LCD and it worked fine with no issues?? If so, it is probably your TV or settings. Are you using the M$ version of the component video cable? If so, those are a decent quality cable and well shielded, but defects are always possible. Try switching out with your friends as well if you have not already.
Your TV is a 1366x768 (720p/768p) native resolution. It will take a 1080i or 1080p signal and downconvert it to its native resolution of 768p. What do you have your 360 set to (1080p/720p)?? It should not really matter as the TV should easily down convert and or de-interlace the 1080i/p or upconvert the 720p. Did you try 720p and if so do you get the same results?? If so it sounds like an issue with the TV's scaller/de-interlacer and should be returned. I have a 768p Panny plasma and my 360 works great at any setting. I use 1080p since it is better to have have your TV downconvert vs. upconvert, even if the value is greater from my findings...
