I agree that the emphasis has been shifting to the SAL BD players lately with the big price drops, but until this happened 6 of 7 BD players WERE PS3s.
I think we can all agree that the PS3 was a huge part of BD winning the war against HD DVD, so it is easy for me to see that until now, the PS3 WAS heavily relied upon for progressing the BD format. I also believe most agree that the PS3 was not used even at 50% of use as a BD player on average and a much higher percentage of the BD buying crowd were doing it for SAL players to watch BD movies.
I also believe that is on the verge of shifting now to let the SAL BD players handle more of the load with these price reductions we are seeing. Lets hope so.
