I just hope they come up with something that doesn't require me replacing 4 HDTVs i now have to watch it or they will leave a very interested consumer out of the mix for a few years if they DID require new displays to use whatever they are cooking up. It would be great is they had some type of overlay that can be enabled or disabled for people who do/don't want it on EVERY BD release IMO.

If 3-D requires replacement of existing HDTV, this may be a show stopper. Unless, in the near future HDTVs become really cheap to buy. I would to see this become reality though.
