I know a lot of people, who are very pleased with their $35 (or Euros in my case

) DVD players. They don't know about the difference and frankly don't care. To them, it's just a DVD player and it's doing what it's supposed to do, play their DVDs.
Imo the BD market will have to appeal to this segment of the market as well. It's a key element for mass market success. And i can see part of this group being interested in this "better DVD" for their HDTVs, IF they can get it for a price similar compared to what they are paying for DVD (many in this segment are renting or only buying cheapo DVDs). We are probably a few years away from this, but offering cheap "throw-away" BD players is a first step towards this market. I would bet, that a first segment of this market who knows about BD already will take advantage of this year's "cheapo BD player" sales.
