Sony DVP-NS77H lip sync problems
We have a Sony DVP-NS77H upconversion DVD player connected to our Toshiba 42" LCD television via 3-ft Phillips HDMI cable. Quite frequently I've noticed that when watching a DVD and you start the program from the beginning, sometimes the lip syncing will be a little off (usually sound before lip movement), but if I pause it and play it the sound resychronizes. Also on rare occasions if the sound is synced ok then I pause & play it will be unsynced the other way (lip movement before sound). I tried replacing the unit twice w/ identical models and they all have this problem.
Before I got this DVD player I had a Sony DVP-NS55P on the same TV connected via component and don't recall ever seeing this kind of problem.
Is anyone else having this problem with this model Sony DVD player? If so can anyone recommend another model? If so I'd like one that has the feature that can put non-widescreen DVDs in Normal mode (black bars on sides) without having to change the TV's aspect ratio (Sony's have this option in its menu.)
Thanks.
