We'll see. The prices came down on DVD for computers because of volume--try to find a computer that doesn't come with a DVD drive. It remains to be seen whether many people are going to spend the money to upgrade to a Blu-Ray drive on their computer when portable HDD's are currently much cheaper, both on an absolute basis and per bit, and will likely continue to be so unless volumes increase greatly for
recordable BD.
AFAIK, most PC manufacturers who are thinking of building BD drives into their PC's are looking at BD-ROM (for pre-recorded content), not BD-R. That will be of no help as computer mass storage.:
