In preparation to mount my 60" Elite plasma on the wall, what would be appropriate height above ground to mount on the wall. I am thinking of about 36" or 37" off the ground and the viewing distance is at least 11 feet on a couch. The Elite 60" plasma height is 34.5". The top of the plasma will be 70.5" or 71.5".

I currently have a 50" rear-projected Elite and the screen is about 21" off the ground. Is it true that the heights above ground for wall mounted and rear-projected units are different? My thinking is the height for wall mounted unit should be higher but not so high that would break your neck. I heard folks that have their units mounted above fireplace and their complaints was stiff neck.

Any suggestion would greatly appreciated.
