As in sound, I found that what appears to be perfect according to preset standards of the profession, may not be as appealing to the eye or ear, so I'm nervous about using the calibration method as my sole means of adjustment, but I'm sure it would get me "bore sited" so to speak.

It's really quite easy, it just takes some time. About 2 hours the first time.
