i've been kind of receiver shopping for a while now and A lot of people recommended the Onkyo 606 but I was reading a cnet artical the other week that listed this sony as being potentially better the the Onkyo receiver.

would you guys get this Sony over the Onkyo (and yes I know the Sony is more $$$)

I just want a receiver that will go good with my Blu Ray player and decode/play all the new sound types out and something that will upconvert a 480p image and make it look decent (I heard the Onkyo does a bad job at this)
