I have H20 rec and when using HDMI it takes much longer when in native mode ( which gives me best pic in all formats) when changing from 1080I to 720P or 480I than when using component. I don't see much differecnce in pic quality , audio seems a bit better with HDMI. Yet when using the TV tuner to watch over the air broadcast there is no delay at all when changing channels with different format. IS this a directv defect in their HD recievers when it takes a few seconds to change formats with hdmi or just the nature of the beast. I generally use component when watching sporting events because I like to change between games a lot. I have a 52 "108P LG LCD.
