I thought I was being helpful. Here is the first post in the ongoing thread. You don't have to interact with anyone, just read. There are many followup threads with more specific questions and answers. I don't think there is a better source of information on the web regarding this subject.

As you get near the end of the posts, they do start discussing issues with burning AVC discs for blu ray.
