I have a Canon Vixia HV30 that records in HD to digital tape. You then can play the tape (using the camera of course) directly on to a HDTV via HDMI cable and the results are very good. My question is how can i copy (in the same high definition) the tape to a DVD/or Blue Ray Disc which will make my movies easier to share with others? I have a Sony VRD MC-3 Video recordable DVD Drive but it will only record from my Canon in less than HD (The quality on the resulting DVD copy is the same as the copy from my Canon Elura 60 Standard definition digital camcorder. (both are transmitted to the MC-3 via firewire)

1 last bit of information. The Sony VRD MC-3 has an input (usb) for SONY HDD or DVD (it is specific and mentions only sony Camcorders that are HDD or DVD) not HDV Camcorders The VRD MC-3 does not support HDV platforms (i.e my Canon Vixia HV 30)
