To answer some questions - this is the first expansion. More will be coming. In fact there list that's inlcuded in that channel list is probably not complete for this expansion - from what I understand negotiations are still on-going with some channels, which prevents them from announcing those channels.

More is supposed to be coming throughout the year. Second, yes, this is dependent on when they convert your market. I believe that they're doing both the analog elimination and QAM expansion at the same time in each market. Realize that these changes need to happen at EVERY cable office. So the date of the analog-elimination is when the work is set to start at our VHO. It takes time to get through every CO in the VHO.

Next, it looks like verizon is starting to make this somewhat official. Go to the channel list on verizon's website, and they now have this:

"National Channel Lineup

Existing customers will get notice of changes and timing in their area, new customers can take advantage of the new programming as it becomes available.

To see current channel lineup for FiOS TV areas, fill in your zip code, then City/Region (if applicable), then hit ‘GO!’.

As the time nears for new programming to launch in your area, a printable version (PDF file) of the new channel lineup will be available on this page beneath the “Filter Your Channels” box. The new lineups will become available for viewing and printing approximately 30 days prior to launch date so check back periodically."

Bolding is mine. If you go to the channel line up, go over to the right, and scroll down to where they have the pdf versions of the channel line-ups. You should now see the PDF files for the new lineup for Ft. Wayne, IN and for Portland, OR.
