That is really not an option for the OP. He does not want to pay for cable, sound familiar?. What he is looking for is a method to be able to schedule recordings that may be on different channels. Now if you can supply a link for a VCR that will control a satellite box for channel selection, then yes that could be of help for those people who can only get satellite.
