If flat panels do sell well this summer with the olympics, then that could have a knock on effect for blu-ray as there would be a whole bunch of people out there who would now have a TV that made owning a blu-ray player worthwhile.
However I would agree that you certainly can't translate flat panel sales directly into Blu-ray player sales. That attach rate is no where near 1:1
