I also have a Sony 60in LCD TV and was concidering the Sony plan until I found out they do not cover the projection lamp. Since I have replaced one already (after 7 mos), I needed a plan that would cover it just in case. I got a warranty through Brandsmart USA that covers power surges including lightning, the lamp, in home service, and what the manufacturer's warranty covers for 2 years for $200.00 they even let me split it into 3 payments. The lamp costs $200.00 and I know I will need one if not 2 for the duration of the plan plus living in Florida I get the lightning coverage so it's a good deal for me.
