Anybody have any experience with this? Or will it really be no different than if I have a friend over and we are playing XBL split screen? (haven't had any problems with that so far)

That is going to be very dependent on what kind of uploading speeds your DSL service provides, and the speed of your router. My ISP only offers a 384 kbps upload speed, so I know that my connection wouldn't be able to support two consoles online at the same time. My router is also rather slow and i've noticed that my friend when he comes over can't play over XBL while i'm also browsing the internet at the same time as his games get too laggy.
