HDMI DVD Player to HDMI Receiver to VGA Projector?
Ok, I have the following setup:
- an upconverting HDMI DVD player (with HDMI output, component output, etc)
- an HDMI upconverting/capable A/V receiver (HDMI input/output, component input/output, etc)
- a DLP projector that accepts VGA connection in (it doesn't have straight up HDMI or component input, but has two VGA connections which in the manual are listed as "RGB/HDTV/Component Video Input")
Now, I am thinking the logical way of hooking this up is HDMI-HDMI from DVD to Receiver, and then component to VGA from Receiver to Projector.
Now, I can't find any sort of cables that do HDMI to VGA so I can go straight HDMI to VGA from receiver to projector... but, my question is would that be necessary at all, or is component as good as straight HDMI?
