Dreamworks didn't sign a deal, Paramount who owns DreamWorks has signed a deal. A deal with an escape clause in case warner left or HD DVD was no longer profitable to produce disks for. So when you say Paramount is following BD so is DreamWorks

I'm looking forward to picking up LOTR on BD also! I can't wait!

Sony paid no money to "convince" warner to switch, both companies have publicly shot down that rumor (Besides even if they did the HD DVD folks did that to get Paramount to sign an exclusive deal)
No offense, and I hope you don't' take it the wrong way, how exactly is HD DVD superior technologically?

HD DVD's big hook was that it was cheaper to produce than BD, however, that gap is slowly closing to the point where currenlty it's only 25 cents a disk difference between the two for manufacturers. 25 cents for 10 more GB per layer. I'd certainly go for that.

They won't. They're pushing Direct Download very hard right now, something in which they have a very large vested interest in. if anything you'll see a 300GB HDD before a dual format player.
