I'm a sucker for new toys and technologies; definitely new products to buy
As for firesale, if either format goes away I'll keep my collection. I'm sure there will be players produced (combos or standalones) for the dead format. you can count on companies like OPPO
I also like to keep my collection in order to remember it years from now and tell my grand kids the stories of this format war when the next format war starts
I still look @ my Beta-max tapes and quadraphonic LPs once in a while.
