Good to know information, I've only purchased big name brands like Sony, Panasonic and Toshiba (1 Sony, 2 Panasonics and 1 Toshiba HDTVs) and I've never had 1 minute of trouble with any of them so I've never had to worry about repairs in or out of warranty.
But I will take into consideration this information in deciding on future purchases of HDTVs.
