Analysts are idiots. They don't know anything more than me or you. We might as well call them Business Fortune Tellers cause thats what they are. Pachter, probably the biggest idiot among them, is constantly wrong. He gets some right, but lets face it; if you throw enough shit against a wall something is gonna stick.
Personally, I think the Wii is selling like hotcakes NOT because of its price (which helps) but because of the sheer amount of great publicity it has received combined with a unique control feel that people, honestly, want to play with. If price were the only issue, you can bet that the $279 Xbox 360 would be selling on near equal levels.
Also, imo, Home won't be anything to gawk at. Its a fancy version of the Playstation UI which, after the initial exploration factor, I think a lot of people will resort to using their traditional PSN set up to work the store, and games.
