How to end the format war...Toshiba drops hd-dvd and joins the other consumer electronics players and introduces blu-ray players....Samsung, Pioneer, Panasonic, Mitsubishi, Sony, Daewoo, Funai, Sharp, Loewe, Philips....you get the idea...For a few years, combo players can exist to support hd-dvd while it is phased out. This would really kickstart the move from dvd to hi def movies at home. The loser would be Microsoft(R) who would not get to control yet another segment of consumer electronics. Microsoft(R) did state it would support blu-ray should it be widely adopted, so I guess even they wouldn't lose in a sense...LOL... End the war Toshiba, you will be respected for doing so....
