Does anyone have any confidence in or good experiences with any particular reviewer sites? I was thinking about paying for Consumer Reports again but am not completely sure about even them, if you know what I mean...
![]() It's just that with so much $$$ profit at stake, how does one go about determining unbiased technical expertise coupled with true financial disinterest and perhaps most importantly ethical lack of bias? ![]() PS: This forum is really good, but it is a bit long on opinions and short on technical justifications for those opinions.

Home Theater Mag is a good one, as well as Cnet online reviews. Both are free, HTM reviews are just delayed. CR sucks for electronics IMO.
Chad B at HDTVbyChad, is a pro calibrator who also posts reviews that are helpful.

I've never had any confidence in anything CR says. The whole organization is completely political.
I've read Home Theater for many years and found their reviews highly detailed and reliable. |
