I've seen a handful of shows, and some previews of other shows that look good as well. So far they've all been quite good (except for that Journey To The Center of the Earth PPV movie...that film sucked).

My fiance (wow it sounds weird to say that) really enjoyed the show "Dinosaurs Alive!" and she wants to watch the second Dinosaur show they are making. Not sure when they are gonna show it. The "Dinosaurs Alive!" show was pretty good despite the fact that it's the only thing I've seen on my TV yet with any ghosting/crosstalk. It didn't ruin the show however because it didn't happen that often though.

I'm sure some people are excited about the upcoming sports in 3D on DirecTV as well (I could care less because I don't like sports) via the ESPN 3D channel.

The n|3D channel overall is just fantastic for a 3DTV EA.

I agree. We do a lot of 3D demonstrations in our store and we're DIRECTV dealers so the store demo programming package gets every channel and all sports season tickets. We demonstrate DIRECTV's n| 3D channel, Panasonic's 3D demo disc, Monsters vs. Aliens and Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs.

Everyone is very impressed.

Wassup fellas! Well...I decided to take the leap an got myself da 54 inch Panny for my birthday, even though I've been burned before for being an early adopted for things. But, hey..after I saw it at Best Buy and plus reading one great review after another, I HAD to. It sometimes kills me how most peeps seem to always insist on waiting for the next year or the NEXT, for the inevitable upgraded versions, but truth be told, life can't be taken for granted( especially in Chicago) and you don't even know for sure if you'll even BE here for the 2013 model or whatever. So, just said..what da hell...Question though...I'm tryin' to get it broken in as quickly as possible. Would you recommend possibly leaving the TV on,like 8-9 hours while I'm away at work for at least a few days? The TV is awesome...but I guess I'll have to wait a bit to unleash it's full potential...

Congrats on your your new toy...the VT series is fantastic in both 2D and 3D...I couldn't be happier with mine.

If you want to get through the break-in period faster than just leave Cartoon Network running 24/7...

I left mine on 24/7 for the first 100 hours, too. I played only HD channels ( such as HDNet ) that have no "black bar" programming. I would put my Panny plasma up against ANY other brand whether it be plasma, LCD or RPTV, 2D or 3D. Bring it on !

Panasonic Gets ‘Avatar' 3D Blu-ray Disc

New York - Panasonic will be the exclusive launch partner of 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment for the 3D Blu-ray Disc release of the blockbuster smash "Avatar" in early December, Panasonic marketing executives said Thursday.

At launch, running through an undisclosed period of time, the disc will only be available to consumers who purchase a Panasonic 3D Viera plasma TV. The promotional offer will likely take the form of a variety of bundles onto the purchase of Viera 3D TVs and related equipment, although exact details are still to be announced, the company said.

In that light, Carlson said Panasonic is looking to "do the right thing" for its early-adopter customers by working on a plan to make the "Avatar" 3D Blu-ray Disc available to customers who have already purchased a Panasonic 3D Viera TV. Details are still being worked out, he added.

He also could not say if Panasonic would make the disc available as a promotional incentive for the purchase of only a Panasonic Blu-ray player or Blu-ray home-theater system.

I really do not like this whole promo period with 3D content only being available for a period of time to one mfg. There is not enough 3D content out there as it is, and to do this only further limits 3D content and IMO slows down adoption overall.

If it's released as a limited offering without TV purchase I'll buy as many as I can, because it'll surely become a collectible.

It will only be available for people who buy a Panasonic 3DTV though. Did you buy one?

Most of the better LCD models are now the same way, but with a poorer anti-glare coating than what the VT series has.
