Sweet...just barely made it!
Coraline 3D is pretty awesome...I hope you didn't throw your box away yet because you need to cut the UPC off the box and mail it to them (with your invoice/receipt) for that promo.

yep, just realized that I dont qualify for the promo... I always save the boxes for if I ever move, however, my invoice disqualifies me because I only paid cost for the tv.
Its ok though because I use my ps3 as my bluray and I wont be able to watch 3d bluray's until sept 12th firmware upgrade. |

I am pretty sure it wont work,
the rebate says no claims from resellers, dealers/distributors, their employees or warehouse facilities. I got it through a distributor at cost So i doubt this will work. |

Doesn't matter anyway because you can still enjoy 2D content (and 3D PS3 games) at mind-blowing VT25 quality until more movies come out. Besides only one of the two movies is good anyway.

Hey.....I would send the form in for the 2 free movies anyway. What's the worst they can do ? And I doubt they care how much you paid for the plasma, so long as you are not a direct employee of the distributor. It's worth the price of a stamp.

I agree. Send it in and they will likely only look at the purchase date and not the price.

Thanks for that info Lee.
Looks like both Verizon and DirecTV are starting to dip their toes into the 3D pool. ![]() And yes, bauerjj10, I agree with The Rev and P...I would send it in regardless. The worst they can do is just not send you free movies, which is the same as if you do nothing.

Just so everyone is on the same page on the growth of 3D . . .
It's important that it is understood that shooting in 3D is not the same as shooting in either SD or HD. And there aren't a whole lot of cameramen who have experience shooting with a 3D camera rig. Nor are there a whole lot of 3D cameras and the special 3D production trucks (there are now 2). Much of it now is; "trial by fire." There are successes and failures within each production. This works great, this works OK and this doesn't work at all. The same holds true for production of 3D BD titles and 3D PPV/VOD content. And with a very small user base, those involved in producing 3D content have all the reason in the world to go slowly in their endeavors. The same way they did when HDTV was introduced back in October 1997. Those expecting some huge amount of 3D content to appear overnight - it isn't going to happen. You can't compare the amount of HD content and find 3D content lacking. As a matter of fact, there is more 3D content being made available in July 2010 (5 months after it's introduction) then there was HD content available February 1998 (5 months after it's introduction) |

There is always going to be a content drought for any EA of a new technology, but for 3DTV it really isn't so bad because a 3DTV is also an HDTV and there is plenty of HD content available. ![]() Also, even though 3D cinema/television is in it's infancy, I'd like to point out that within the next year there is a veritable flood of 3D PS3 games coming out.

I will give the 3d bluray promotion a shot and see if they bite.
Anybody have any dates on when certain PS3 games will get 3D updates? Im a huge shooter fan and I know that DICE released a 3d patch for Bad Company 2 for the PC, I hope they are working on one for PS3. |
