If I did get a Blu Ray I would wait for the Profile or whatever 1.1 to come out. That's just how I would do things.
I think right now HD DVD is the way to go for myself at least. Then possibly purchase a Blu Ray at a later time. Unless HD DVD wins the format war.

That happens a lot, but be assured that Blu Ray is not capable of doing anything more than HD DVD. AQ and PQ is identical, both capable of displaying 1080p (this will be the norm resolution for quite some time). The only big difference is that HD DVD is half the price.
