I agree with a lot of what you said and really only noticedit now that I read it..
However I disagree with a couple things, the sniper for one. I mean Halo2 I practically had as many kills as as I had bullets. but I understood why other people disliked it soo much, I hated the swipe snipers also. I started off Halo3 really really bad with the sniper,so much so that if I seen it laying there I would leave it. With practice though I have gotten pretty damn good, its different and a lot harder but now that im good with it I find its a huge advantage since not so many other people are good with it..
I love the K/D ratio, I used to play with that system in my head back in Halo2 and now they actually have that stat.. It does cater a bit towards newbs but thats fine with me, It creates more of a challenge with those handicaps that you have mentioned. frustrating yes but still I find it fun and even though im not an elite player I still have an average of +8 K/D and as high as +23.. You have to remember in Halo2 when your spawn weapon was the BR and thats all anyone used, well enough people bitched and they did an update where your spawn weapon was an SMG and they made frags stronger as well as shot guns and needlers. They did upgrades through the years to make it enjoyable for everyone, who is to say they wont do the same now. It hasn't even been a month yet, just imagine what they are still hiding up their sleeve.
