We go to the moon, probe the atom, can talk to someone across the world but we can't develop a multi layer disc for movies though we can for other uses ? hmm it sounds that you are giving too little credit to what could be done. just wait and see and also try to relax

You are forgetting the limitations of today's hardware. This is not a case of a FW UP. Todays BD drives cannot read a 4 layer disc.
By 2009 there will be approx 7 million+ BD players of which NONE of them can read a 4 layer disc. So is every BD owner expected to go out and buy a brand new player?
Shesh! What am I thinking - of course they will. Isn't that the plan of the BD CEM's? To get people to keep buying new hardware?
