The issue at hand is the BD profiles issue and the fact that the BDA is selling very expensive BD players that can't meet the specs laid down by the BDA themselves over 2 years ago.
It is not a question of whether they are important (the features), it is a question of not having a choice by the consumer to say yes or no to special features. The BD CEM's have made the choice for him . . . No special features for you Mr. Consumer.
