As for meself - For a lot people the stellar picture and sound quality these players offer will trump their lack of interactivity. And in me opine, a lot of other people will see it the same way. The interactivity will be important to some, but not most. Same as DVD. The movie content and the HD experience is what sells a movie. The fluff, the extra games, the advertising, the ethernet etc. will not make or break the format war. How many people with HD DVD players currently have them hooked up to the net? And for what reason? One step further - how are they connecting to the net? Broadband? How many homes currently have a broadband connection? A majority of homes still have dial up - and a lot of homes have no internet at all. What good is an ethernet connection to them?
