There were widespread reports of the Hot Fuzz run being sold out so it certainly sounds like it did at least fairly well and I know I picked it over 300, I didn't see it in the cinema but it was always a day 1 purchase on HD DVD. Does the cinema run actually tend to tie to home movie sales?

I know there are often a lot of movies that under perform in the cinema, but then word of mouth leads to them having much better home video sales. Hot Fuzz I think is definitely one of them, at least it will be in the UK. Shaun of the Dead bombed in the cinema, then stayed atop of the DVD charts for months. Could be way off the mark though

Do think the topic title/OP is a bit trolling though seeing as all it does is reflect current YTD ratios. The difference is certainly a far cry from the 8:1 ratios Blu Ray fans on other forums were predicting.
