Make all the coax runs home runs from where the cable or fios equipment with be located. One run just for the router/modem. Where ever it will be. Don't let the build use splitters in the house. The wiring is not expensive.

Then you don't know anything about Networking, Cat5 is great to connect your Computers, Server, and Home Entertainment Center. Wireless does not have the bandwidth to stream HD Music and Video throughout your house. I ran Cat5 when I moved in 7 years ago and I love it. I set up both Wired and Wireless Networks in my Community, and Wireless Networks have nothing but problems. AppleTV just came out and it has an RJ45 connection, and I'm sure it will work a lot better than the Wireless. I have a Buffalo Multimedia Player and I stream DVD quality Video with no problem.
