Either way, it's not like Insomniac is going to say anything bad about the PS3. Doesn't Sony own some or all of them? If you interviewed Bungie, you would get exactly the opposite of what Imsomniac just said in their interview. I just don't buy any of their arguments.
They talk about games needing massive disc space, yet they forgot to mention Oblivion which offers 200+ hours of gameplay, many many hours of high quality recorded voices, and only needs half of a DVD9 disc. My understanding is that GoW also didn't come anywhere near maxing out a DVD9 disc either. I often get tired when people keep trying to use quantity to justify something, but it's quality that people should be concerned about. It won't kill anyone to flip in discs if a rare game pops up that needs more than a single DVD9 disc.
As for Casino Royale's sales on Amazon, wasn't there recently a sale on BD movies that they arn't mentioning in this article? They are also forgetting to mention that Sony stuffed their PS3's with BD movie coupons.
As for their XBL argument, yes I think XBL is $270 better over a 5 year span. Those guys probably don't even understand the incredible level of integration XBL has with every multiplayer X360 game. I find the level of centralization amazing. If you are a fan of multiplayer gaming, there is no question about which platform is better. Now is the new thing where Windows Vista gamers might be able to game with or interact with X360 gamers in the future, although i'm not too sure how that is supposed to work.
As for their HDMI argument, since when in the world did this become a necessity? They arn't going to say anything bad about Sony, and I believe Sony owns some part of the HDMI technology if i'm not mistaken. HDMI is only about convenience and a means of copy protection.
Just look at all of the statements made by developers that are independent, and their opinions have been much more favorable to the X360.
