Wow, that is a great article! I agree with all his points (shocker ) with the exception on the Blu-ray/HD DVD war. I don't think it's completely over yet. If Blu-ray wants to maintain the lead, they need to keep pumping out strong titles and subsidizing their players. Oh yeah, and Universal and Weinsten need to go neutral.

Home/PSN will be superior to XBL and here's why: Home appeals to everyone while XBL only appeals to hardcore gamers. Home is a combination of multimedia, social networking, and gaming while XBL is just gaming.

LittleBigPlanet just kills XNA. No contest. ANYONE can design with LittleBigPlanet but only tech-minded people can use XNA.

Free online is another big one. Dedicated servers are so important, too. XBL does not use them, you are basically paying $50/yr for matchmaking. Not worth it IMO.

The Wii is cool but it isn't even in the same ballpark as the PS3 and the 360. The 360 and the PS3 are red and green apples and the Wii is an orange. There is no competition. Also, I haven't been convinced that the Wiimote isn't a gimmick yet. I'll probably end up picking up a Wii even if it's just to play the Resident Evil game coming out for it. I can't really say anything bad about the Wii except I hate the fact that it isn't capable of HD. If it gets a good selection of quality 3rd party games, it could be a great console.
