Here's the problem. LCD response time used to be measured by all manufacturers as the time required for a pixel to go from black to white to black. Now some companies are measuring it as time from gray to gray so they can advertise really low numbers.

Gray to gray is actually more important to gamers but which criteria and in what combination companies are advertising can be confusing at best.

The answer is to demo the monitors you're interested in with content you'll be primarily viewing and let your orbs be the judge.
