OK, once again, for clarity: the deep-fringe perscription is as follows,

1 Channel Master 4228 UHF antenna
1 Wade-Delhi VIP-306 VHF antenna
1 Channel Master Titan 7777 preamp
1 Channel Master 9521a rotator
30'+ antenna height from the ground

install carefully, avoid bodily injury

scan your digital tuner.

sit back and enjoy all-channel analog and digital reception

Do NOT substitute!

This is a great recommendation however I would go for 50 feet minimum if you are in an area like mine where the closest major network stations are 60 miles away and almost all UHF. I have a different installation than what he recommends, but get excellent results. I have a RS VU190XR antenna on top of a 50' tower and a rotor. I also have a pre-amp, but to be honest I don't remember what kind it is and am not going to climb the tower to get the model numbers off the thing(don't know why, but the lower part of it has no ID on it). With this setup I regularly get stations clearly from 150 miles away and always get the stations with in a 100 mile radius. I have 59 good channels off air (analog and digital combined) from 7 different cities. I have actually been able to clearly receive waka 8 from Montgomery AL 180 miles southeast from me, even though I have the Nashville public television station channel 8 only 80 miles north of me.

P.S. I have tried the 8 bay antennas here before with poor success because there are sooo many channel repeats around here that are in nearly the same direction and distance some with only 30 degree separation. I have 2 ch 17's 2 ch 27's 2 ch 33's etc .... so if you have repeats in your area the yagi style will help cancel that out but you will loose some signal gathering ability.
