I have Charter and am experiencing the exact same problems with channels under 100.
Just had a digital/HDTV box installed saturday. Used on-line chat to ask about the clarity/quality of the non-digital channels and they sent a tech out. For $20 I got a new piece of coax. I'm about to come unglued......Charter is my only cable option where I live, but the other side of town has a choice and folks I know there say Knology is better.
I'm not sure what to do....
